Welcome to Seeds of the Future! This exhibition shares our experiences nurturing pockets of life on our campus and in our community and encourages you to join the work of healing.
In fall 2025, our Literature and Environmental Justice class discussed diverse writers who have promoted flourishing for all in healthy enviornments, even as we partnered with the Sustainable Community and Regenerative Agriculture Project (SCRAP). Across Waco, Texas and Baylor University's campus, the SCRAP Collective is cultivating refugia—pockets of life where healing, resilience, and possibility grow from the ground up and interconnect.
We collaborated with SCRAP organizations and nurtured pollinator patches at Baylor Community Gardens @ Teal Residential College. The patches are also "planted" with signs linked to this "virtual garden" of our reflections. We share about our experiences cultivating refugia and creatively invite you to help sow seeds of a better future.
