First Annual Green Film Fest: Harvesting Justice in Southern Communities of Color
1214 S 4th St. Waco, TX 76706
(the building is on Fountain Mall in central campus)
Harvesting Justice in Southern Communities of Color, Baylor’s First Annual Green Film Fest, will feature three short films on World Food Day, celebrating how communities of color in Texas and the broader American South have charted paths to food resilience and sustainability. These films span genres and geographies, inviting the Baylor community to reflect on how food justice has been and continues to be engaged in our own city. After the screenings, Dr. Jacob Abell (Environmental Humanities Affiliated Faculty) will moderate a panel discussion and Q&A with guest speakers from the community, connecting the films to ongoing agricultural sustainability work in Waco.
Organized by the Environmental Humanities Minor for Campus Sustainability Month in collaboration with the Office of Sustainability.
