Sustainable Biomaterials in Costume Design

Environmental Humanities Faculty Spotlight

In this talk, Professor Sarah Mosher (Theatre Arts and Environmental Humanities Faculty Associate) will share how artists are designing costumes for the performing arts using biomaterials (fabrics and other materials created using natural, biological sources).  She will share her research in hand-crafted bioplastics applied in the context of performing arts and will introduce the work of other costume artists from around the world who are exploring biomaterial options.
