About Anna Grace:

Anna Grace Varnell is a Student Representative on the Environmental Humanities Core Leadership Team.  She is a Journalism major with a concentrate in Public Relations and an Environmental Humanities Minor.

Why She Values Environmental Humanities and Is Serving in Leadership:

I chose to minor in Environmental Humanities because I was inspired by how passionate my professors were and this encouraged me to pursue it as a minor.  Whenever they talked about issues or topics concerning the environment, they were always knowledgeable and did their best to influence their students.  I am a senior and this has been my minor for most of my college experience.  I have always enjoyed the practical aspects of the classes I have taken, such as visiting Cameron Park and the Baylor Community Gardens while interacting with nature and the environment.  I enjoy being able to learn through hands-on experience, learning how we interact with the environment, and feeling like my actions have an impact.  I joined the Environmental Humanities Core Leadership Team because I want to impact others and make a difference.
